Discord Engineer

Discord Engineer streams your race engineer’s audio callouts to a Discord voice channel, so you can hear them through your PS5 headset while racing Gran Turismo 7.

This is a Victory Pro feature.

How It Works

  1. You link your Discord account in the Victory mobile app
  2. When you toggle Discord Engineer on, a private voice channel is created in the Victory Discord server
  3. Your race engineer’s audio callouts are streamed to that channel in real time
  4. On your PS5, you join the voice channel via Discord and hear the callouts in your headset

Requirements

  • A Victory Pro subscription (or grandfathered access)
  • A Discord account
  • The Victory mobile app running during your race session
  • Discord on PS5 — available from the PS5 quick menu

Setup

1. Link Your Discord Account

  1. Open the Victory mobile app
  2. Go to Settings → Discord Engineer
  3. Tap Connect Discord
  4. You’ll be redirected to Discord to authorize the connection
  5. After authorizing, you’ll be sent back to the app automatically

If the redirect doesn’t work, tap Paste code manually and enter the code shown on the Victory website.

2. Start a Session

Once your Discord account is linked, you’ll see a toggle switch on the Discord Engineer screen.

  1. Turn the toggle on before starting your race
  2. The app will create a private voice channel named Engineer - YourName
  3. A green dot and the channel name confirm you’re connected

3. Join on PS5

  1. On your PS5, press the PS button to open the quick menu
  2. Open Discord
  3. Join the Engineer - YourName voice channel
  4. Start your race — you’ll hear engineer callouts in your headset

4. Stop the Session

Turn the toggle off when you’re done racing. The voice channel is automatically deleted.

Troubleshooting

I don’t hear any audio

  • Make sure the toggle is on and showing a green dot in the app
  • Confirm you’ve joined the correct voice channel on PS5
  • Check that your PS5 headset volume and Discord voice volume are turned up
  • Make sure your race engineer is enabled in the app’s engineer settings

The redirect didn’t work after authorizing

Tap Paste code manually on the Discord Engineer screen. Copy the code from the Victory website and paste it into the dialog.

I want to unlink my Discord account

On the Discord Engineer screen, tap Disconnect Discord at the bottom of the card. You can re-link at any time.
