Mobile App
The Victory mobile app connects directly to Gran Turismo 7 to capture live telemetry data. It works over your local Wi-Fi network — no special hardware required.
Supported Games
- Gran Turismo 7 — PS4 and PS5
Setup
Requirements
- Your phone and console must be on the same Wi-Fi network
- Telemetry output must be enabled in GT7
Connecting to Gran Turismo 7
- Open GT7 and go to Settings
- Enable Telemetry Output (sometimes called “Data Communication”)
- Open Victory on your phone
- The app will automatically detect GT7 on your network
- Start driving — telemetry appears in real time
If auto-discovery doesn’t work, you can manually enter your PlayStation’s IP address in Settings → Connection.
Live Dashboard
When connected, the dashboard shows real-time telemetry as you drive:
- Lap times — Current lap, best lap, and last lap with delta comparison
- Speed — Current, max, and min speed
- Inputs — Throttle, brake, and steering position
- RPM & Gear — Current gear with rev light indicator
- Tire temperatures — Individual readings for all four tires (tire wear is not available in GT7’s telemetry output)
- Fuel — Remaining fuel level and consumption per lap
- G-forces — Lateral, longitudinal, and vertical
The dashboard has multiple layouts — swipe left and right to switch between them. Your screen stays on automatically while the dashboard is active.
Race Strategy
Plan your pit stops and fuel strategy before or during a race.
- Fuel calculation — Average consumption per lap and laps remaining on current fuel
- Pit window — When to pit based on your fuel and race length
- Fuel mix — Per-stint and per-lap fuel mix adjustments (6 levels from lean to rich)
- Race types — Sprint, Endurance, and Time Trial strategy modes
- Audio briefing — Your race engineer reads the strategy aloud before the race
Pit Window Status
During a race, the app shows your current pit window state:
- Window Closed — Too early to pit
- Window Open — You can pit anytime within this window
- Box Now — Last lap to pit before running out of fuel
- None — You can finish the race on current fuel
Race Engineer
Choose from 20+ AI race engineer personalities who provide real-time audio callouts during your race:
- Pit window updates (“Pit window is now open”, “Box this lap!”)
- Fuel warnings
- Lap time feedback
- Race start countdowns
- Crash detection and recovery tips
Each engineer has a unique voice, accent, and personality. Select your engineer and their language in the Race Engineer screen.
Session History
Every time you drive, the app automatically records a session. Review past sessions to track your progress:
- Browse all sessions, filtered by track or car
- View lap times for each session with your best lap highlighted
- Compare laps against your personal best
- Swipe to delete sessions you no longer need
Lap Analysis
Tap into any session to get detailed lap analysis:
- Track map — Your racing line visualized on an accurate track map
- Lap comparison — Compare any lap against a reference lap with sector-by-sector delta
- Telemetry charts — Speed, throttle, brake, gear, tire temperatures, suspension, and G-force charts with zoom and pan
- Sector breakdown — Time gained or lost per sector compared to your best
Pit Stop Detection
The app automatically detects pit stops during a session using a combination of telemetry signals and track geometry. Pit stops are identified and separated from your driving laps so they don’t affect your lap time records.
Pitwall
Race alongside other Victory users in real time:
- See other drivers’ positions on the track map
- Live speed, lap progress, and pit status for each driver
- Leaderboard sorted by race position
- Color-coded driver indicators
Troubleshooting
Can’t connect to the game?
- Verify your phone and console are on the same Wi-Fi network
- Check that telemetry output is enabled in GT7 settings
- Try restarting both the app and the game
- On iOS, make sure Victory has Local Network permission (Settings → Victory → Local Network)
- Some routers block traffic between devices — check your router’s “AP isolation” or “client isolation” setting and disable it
- Try entering your PlayStation’s IP address manually in Settings → Connection
Telemetry drops or lag?
- Move closer to your Wi-Fi router
- Reduce network congestion (pause downloads, streaming, etc.)
- A 5GHz Wi-Fi connection is recommended over 2.4GHz for lower latency
